Under the direction of Darrell Ellsworth, Ph.D., the ICHP at Windber Research Institute is a collaborative effort with the Integrative Cardiac Health Program at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Because of the known relationships between various aspects of breast cancer and heart disease, this unique and coordinated effort will allow the collection of clinical and molecular for these diseases in parallel. The resulting data will provide the ability to identify novel disease markers and new treatment approaches for these related disorders and provide a unique venue for future research.
