The Windber Research Institute (WRI), through the CHP/DP, has partnered with the PA Department of Health and Fox Chase Cancer Center, to provide FREE, community-based education focused on the importance of cancer prevention and early detection in Cambria, Somerset, Indiana, and eastern Westmoreland counties. WRI is pleased to provide FREE presentations, customized to meet your group’s needs on the skin cancer, prostate cancer, ovarian cancer and colorectal cancer. |
Presentations address the risk and protective factors of the noted form of cancer. Also discussed are the available screenings, methods of diagnosis and forms of treatment. Presentations are designed to educate adults at various venues, including senior centers, worksites, churches and other community groups or forums. The skin cancer program is also appropriate for high school students.
Each presentation is 30-45 minutes. We request that you schedule approximately 15-20 participants.
